This is just angry PS4 fans on the Xbox sub nothing more, not sure what they expect. Im not arguing that the Xbox One was inferior, Xbox 360 technically was as well but it was much easier to develop Multiplatform games for which gave it an edge with those games. The PS4 simply does not have an equivalent for that no matter how you want to spin it. That is an extremely limited scenario though on the PS4 whereas on XB1 you have the play anywhere equivalent which is separate from the literally hundreds of games that are b/c. It’s a buy 1 get 2 deal instead of 1 compatible version working on both systems.

It does nothing for your existing disc library you have on your shelf nor does it allow you to go to Gamestop, etc and buy from a huge selection of cheap PS3 games that will work on the PS4.
There is nothing “compatible” about a PS4 exclusive remaster of a game that requires a repurchase and doesn’t work on any other system.Īs for the journey example I guess you could call that a form of b/c although technically it’s more of a cross-buy feature as they are 2 different/incompatible versions and it is much more limited as it only works with select digital titles. It’s so you can bring your library forward to a new system. Wow.this concept really escapes you huh? The primary point of b/c is to avoid having to repurchase games you already own.

Exclusives are easy, but cross platform is more of an issue because the PS4 OG is certainly better than the One S and in fact the difference between the PS4 OG and PS4 Pro is usually minor, but the difference between the One S and One X is pretty large so for cross platform games I'm torn between getting the best at one house and the worst at another, or having the second best and second worst. Pre-ordered and then realised that since I live at two locations (don't ask) I would need another and I had my PS4 OG at one house and the PS4 Pro on the 4K TV at the other house so I got a One S as well as the One X. Bought a PS4 Pro though, and was waiting for the One X before I jumped. Ended up buying the PS4 and holding off on the Xbox One for a few years.
Last round I was Xbox 360 all the way but I missed a lot of really cool stuff so bought a PS3 very late in the day and all the exclusives pre-owned very cheap.
